A treat for my feet today! Not only a glorious November swim but I was gifted some lovely new socks too! My Mum gave me two pairs of my late Dad’s socks, which was particularly special as she knotted them for him.
Dad’s feet were much bigger than mine, so the roomy socks will be easier to get on than my usual size. Feet that have been in salty seawater tend to feel a bit stick until they are completely dry, but it is important to get some warm socks on quickly after a swim. These are really perfect as Mum knitted them with wool, and the natural fibres are warm. I must make sure I don’t tumble dry them though otherwise, they will shrink!
