Beautiful Ringstead

It was a perfect swim at Ringstead this morning in idyllic conditions. The beach was deserted which is unusual as I usually see a few dog walkers in the mornings here.

Looking back at Weymouth from Ringstead you can truly appreciate the beauty of the old Georgian and Regency period buildings that are built along the esplanade. There is a reef in this cove that is uncovered at low tide, and as the tide falls away waves are formed. I have seen surfers trying to ride the waves, but they don’t last long, and you have to be there just at the right moment to catch them.

I recorded the air temperature today at 17°C and the seawater 11°C and swam at about 8.30 a.m.
