28th March 2022
I have enjoyed three lovely swims this week. The sunny weather, that we have had in Dorset, has been quite incredible for March and it has really warmed up the sea! The water temperature has shot up to 13.5°C which feels so different to those chilly January and February swims.
I swam at Overcombe Corner on Wednesday and met a lady in the sea who told me that it was her second swim of the day!
Sunday was Mother’s Day and after having a nice lunch in the garden with my mum, she joined me at the water’s edge, whilst I swam. The wind was from the east, which was a bit chilly for her, so I lent her my Dry Robe whilst I was in the sea. Afterwards, we sat out of the wind, for nearly an hour enjoying the warm sunshine on our faces.
