I chose to swim at Castle Cove on Christmas morning, as I had hoped there would be other people swimming, and as it was Christmas Day I did not want to be swimming alone.
The day was not cold, but it was very dull with no sunshine. The tide was high though and I was delighted that some friends met me on the beach, with two of them joining me in the water.
This is the beach where I spent a lot of time playing on as a child and it is where I learned to swim!
